| Description: Dorak was raised by mother who just couldn't
relate to him and a father that was overly to stern and unloving towards
him (Not normal. Result of circumstance of fathers youth and his yearning
to have an orange son to apprentice). Dorak's only loving support came
from his older sister who in general was far to busy to spend time with
him. As a result he developed into a very nervous and overly passive
and submissive young Equan. Ironically been a healthy and notably strong
red Equan (even for a red Equan) his focus for primary education was
selected as "Warrior". Very much disliking fighting he selected
Horticulture and Agriculture as his focus for secondary (chosen) education,
much to his mother delight and his fathers disgust. Around this point
he fell in love at first site with a young blue dragon named Elenor.
Probably the most fortuitous turn of circumstance in his life was to
his amazement she in turn was attracted to him. After quite the a run
in with her father which forced Dorak to overcome his server personality
flaws the two paired. He started a farm and they eventually raised and
unusually large family of 7 children. Currently content with his life
Dorak's only desires in life are to nurture and protect his family and
for just a moment see his father proud of him for something. Comments: Dorak's life story will be the primary focus of the first phase of the Equan Project. Phase two moves from him to his children. While he himself plays no major role in the history of things bar been a parent both his children and predecessor will/have. Random Notes: Equan children go through two phases of education. The focus of the primary phase is selected for them base on there heritage, talents, capabilities etc. The second phase they select themselves when they are older. Both include some general and some selected education. |

| Description: In an unfair turn of circumstance
Medof was removed from his parents at an early age to commence training
to become a pawn of the Equan High Council. The only joy he had in his
life was derived from the fact that despite he had no say in his training
he did in fact love magic and he was one of the few permitted to undergo
the training to become an Arch Wizard. His appreciation of this fact
diminished as he reached adulthood and his extreme talents with magic
where forcibly employed on the battle field. It was 80 years before
he was allowed free time to spend with his parents and family again,
and they where tragically killed shortly after while he was off on another
mission for the council. Although Medof despises the council for his
life full of misery he respects the decisions they made in his upbringing
seeing how drastically his influence changed the course of history for
the better. At 130 he was relieved from all obligations and granted
access to the grandest of magic, resources and finance as reward for
his service. He however did not find happiness until he met his love
Flora. Medof dreamed of having an orange son to apprentice and raise
they he wishes he had been. He was sorely disheartened when his first
child who so easily could have been orange based on the appearance of
the egg, hatched a gold daughter. He was even greater disappointed when
his next child was red son all but incapable of magic. Bitter to this
day at the horrid turns of circumstance in his life that son “Dorak”
has been on the tail end of those centuries of regret and disappointment.
Despite Dorak’s best efforts Medof can not find it in him to show
his son he is proud of him, and all Dorak has been left with is one
hell of a shadow to live under from one of the greatest Arch Wizards
in Equan history. Comments: Although Medof seemingly dislikes Dorak he does in fact love him and genuinely believes he is doing the best thing for him by not showing him any affection. He is of course deluding himself. Random Notes: Traditionally the first born child of a matching colour to a respective parent becomes that parents apprentice in later life. Many elder Equans aspire to have child of matching colour to apprentice and follow in their footsteps as such. In the case of both parents been the same colour there are many possibilities, the child is generally given the choice in the matter when they come of age but traditionally the first born of matching colour becomes the fathers apprentice and the second born becomes the mothers. There is one exception to this rule however and that is when two children of matching colour and different gender are born in one hatching, the boy goes to the father and the girl to the mother. In the case of 3 or more (exceedingly rare) the first hatched rule goes back into play and gender is disregarded, again only superseded by the will of the child. |

| Description: Flora comes from a noble
linage much to her disapproval. She held moral standards against the
class structure she was expected to partake in. Her choice to become
a professional herbalist was frowned upon by her parents. It is quite
possible that it was one of the motivating factors in the issue. Flora
rebelled against every aspect of her prestigious heritage throughout
her youth, particularly the expectation that she would pair with a
male of great stature. That was of course, until she met Medof. She
was intrigued by this great wizard who never smiled, dismissed praise
and quite clearly didn’t like her parents either. But more overly
she saw something in his eyes when ever he looked at her. A sense
of longing, regret and possibly hope? To her parent surprise she pursued
him and probed him about his past. She learnt more about him then
she bargained for and fell in love with him as he did her. They had
two children, both of which she is very proud of. Flora’s current
ambitions are to heal the wounds of her partners past and mend the
relationship between him and their son whom she wishes she could understand
better. Comments: Flora is actually quite a renowned herbalist and her studies have aided in the recovery of many an ill creature. Something her daughter plans to do as a healer to her mothers delight. Dorak’s decision to go into agriculture and horticulture was most likely derived from his childhood in his mother’s gardens. This of course disgusts his father but Flora couldn’t be more thrilled. Random Notes: Equans normally lay 3 groups of eggs in there life time (uh… females that is). On average the time between hatchings of each grouping varies between 40-80 years apart. Exceptions occur when only a single egg is laid. This occasionally result another egg laying within the next few years as Equan like to raise their children in groups. This is also the reason for the 3rd egg laying in a lot of cases. On average around 1-3 eggs are normally laid in one group although that number can be as high as 10 in rare cases and occasionally more depending on circumstance. Currently parents aim at having something in the area of 2-5 children in their life time. Cases where Equans go through their whole lives without any siblings such as in the case of Medof and Flora are exceedingly rare. |
